Description
This 2 hour lecture will introduce PTs to the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the pelvic floor. Screening tools for identifying patients who may benefit from skilled intervention for pelvic floor muscle (PFM) dysfunction and simple treatment ideas will be discussed. Resources for expanding knowledge, obtaining certification and provided specialized pelvic floor treatment will be provided. This lecture is ideal for those considering specializing in pelvic PT.
