Purpose Of
PT Distance Journal Club
The Pelvic Physical Therapy Distance Journal Club provides a collaborative forum for physical and occupational therapy professionals specializing in pelvic health to engage with current research and emerging ideas in our rapidly evolving field.
- Recognizing that the pace of research makes it challenging for practitioners to stay current independently, the journal club provides a structured environment for presenting and discussing new findings as well as practical applications to patient care.
- Through shared learning and professional dialogue, we aim to apply current research to clinical practice, ensuring that the care we provide to our patient population remains evidence-based and current.
Timing of meeting
Calls are usually held on Wednesday of the first full week of each month at 8:30 PM EST for one hour and are open for physical therapists (PT), physical therapist assistants (PTA), occupational therapists (OT), and occupational therapist assistants (COTA). Articles will be reviewed by the presenter(s), followed by open discussion with application to clinical practice. Articles and call-in instructions will be provided by email 1 to 2 weeks before the meeting.
